Anime Version of "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru (My Youth Romantic Love Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected)" Had Finally Completed!

Last Thursday in Japan, the anime version of "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa  Machigatteiru (My Youth Romantic Love Comedy Is Wrong As I Expected)" had finally completed!

Number of chapters of the anime version was thirteen after all, which means it had been broadcast for three months (one season).

As you may know, the original novel series thereof has not completed yet.

That was why most of fans of this series thought "Will it be continued to the second season?", "If so, how will it complete?" or something like that.  Of course, I was one of them.

After all, it finished at the point of end of the original novel volume 6.

Volume 6 is the story of school festival.

As I introduced before, it was the chapter in which the hero "Hachiman Hikigaya" sacrificed himself to make their school festival succeed so that "everyone's hearts (other than his) did not hurt.

I think there was no way the anime version would be broadcast over three months because only several months passed after the volume 7 was published.

However, the producer of the anime should have spent more time to express the story of this series politely if so.

Review of "Golden Time Volume 1 ~A Blackout in Spring~" Part 2

There are lots of characters who have some problems in this novel.

Of course, the hero is also one of them.

His name is "Banri Tada," and he is the first-grade college student whose major is law.

Basically, he is just a normal student.

However, he does not have past memories about his life before entering the college.

The heroin, "Kouko Kaga."

She is incredibly beautiful and cute, so she looks complete in terms of her appearance.

But, she has a problem in her personality.

She pursues her childhood friend named "Mitsuo Yanagisawa" she deeply loves against his will as if she were a stalker.

On the other hand, he manages to avoid her no matter what.

"Lin Hayashida" who is called "Linda" is the second grade student in their college.

She has not only a good personality but also a secret.

She seems to know Banri's lost memories.

This novel is the story in which such characters spend their school lives, helping, somethimes hurting each other.

Review of "Golden Time Volume 1 ~A Blackout in Spring~" Part 1

From today, I will review "Golden Time volume 1 ~A Blackout in Spring~" step by step.

As I said in the last article, "Golden Time" is the Japanese light novel series written by Yuyuko Takemiya who is also an author of "Toradora."

If I express the novel by one word after finishing reading it, it would be a light novel for "adults."

It doesn't mean there were any sexual expressions in the novel, of course.

What I want to say is the story was not simple compared with general light novels.

In short, the way of expression of each character's feeling in the novel was somewhat indirect.

That's why it should be possibly categorized as a normal novel rather than a light novel.

"Golden Time" Is Planned To Be Animated in 2013

The Japanese light novel I am now reading is "Golden Time."

Its author is Yuyuko Takemiya who wrote "Toradora."

Do you remember "Toradara?"

It's a very popular light novel categorized as the genre of school love comedy.

Thanks to its popularity, it was animated and broadcast in Japan several years ago.

The anime version also became so popular.

Of course, I watched it too. I think some of my friends who were normally indifferent to animations also did so.

That's why it is no wonder her latest novel series "Golden Time" is receiving much expectation.

I was also one of those who expected of it, so I've been reading it for several weeks.

Although I would like to review the novel of "Golden Time" later on, I inform you that it is planned to be animated in 2013 in Japan today.

I have no idea how the anime version will be finished because the original novel series should not be completed yet.

However, judging from interest of the original novel, the anime will definitely end up succeeding!

"Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come ha Machigatteiru (My Youth Romantic Love Come Is Wrong As I Expected)" Should Be A Novel As I Expected.

As you may know, the anime version of "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come ha Machigatteiru (My Youth Romantic Love Come Is Wrong As I Expected)" is now being broadcast in Japan.

I heard that it also gets good reputations from viewers because the original novel version thereof is so popular.

However, I strongly felt that you should absolutely read the original as well as the anime when I watched the last chapter of the anime broadcast last week in Japan.

That was because I was convinced by the chapter that the anime version could not express good points in the original.

The last chapter was the story where the hero "Hachiman Hikigaya" played an important role in his high school's festival.

He was reluctant to try to solve a lot of problems "Sagami", who was assigned as a chairwoman of school festival implement committee, made by sacrificing himself.

It means he saved her in spite that his reputation among his classmates got worse due to his action.

I was deeply touched by the detailed expression of his feelings at that time in the novel, so I like this chapter very much.

But, I was a little bit disappointed that the anime version was not able to express it sufficiently.

Of course, I understand there is a limit of animation in terms of broadcasting hours.

Tough, I strongly wanted you to read the original novels as well in order to understand what the author hoped to express in his work.

Nishioishin's sensational novel "Shoujo Fujuubun (Insufficient Girl)"

Today, I want to write about "Shoujo Fujuubun."

It is the recent novel of Nishioishin, and the one I have been interested in long time.

I have just finished reading it a few hours ago, so I introduce to you before my excitement disappears.

The title "Shoujo Fujuubun" means "Insufficient Girl" in English.

What a peculiar title it is!

Actually, I could not figure out what it meant completely.

Although it was natural, I was able to understand only the story was likely to be about "a certain girl."

My expectation was not wrong. It was certainly the one.

However, it could live up my expectation, no, rather be out of my imagination.

As usual, I can not mention important parts of the story in detail so as not to steal your pleasure before you try it.

So, what I can say is that this novel was fiction like non-fiction or non-fiction like fiction.

You would not be able to understand what I mean, would you?

But, I'm sure you will do after you finish reading it.

If I mention about it a little bit more specifically, the contents of the novel was so shocking and meaningful.

And, it was also the story about the author "Nishioishin" himself.

I assure you that you will be surprised by the story when you reach the end of it, so let's try it!

Review of Sword Art Online Volume 11

I have finished reading Sword Art Online volume 11 "Alicization Turning."

In this volume, the story proceeded drastically.

There was a premise in the "Under World" (which was the virtual world as a stage of "Alicization" chapter).

It was that all of inhabitants in the world other than Kirito were not able to violate the law absolutely no matter what happened.

However, a certain person did finally.

It was an incident which should not have happened in the world because the inhabitants were not real humans but "Fluctlights."

In short, it was an evidence indicating that there was possibility the person who violated the law would be able to be a real human like Kirito.

But, it was allowed by the world, no, someone like the representative thereof called "Integrity Knight."

That was why he finally emerged to capture "the person" and Kirito.

Of course, it was not a good event for the two of them, but they could enter "Central" where many secrets about "Under World" were concealed because of that.

In the end of this volume, a part of important secrets was revealed eventually.

I want to read the next volume as soon as possible because I would be able to know other secrets!

Music of "Steins Gate"

As I said before, the theme songs of "Steins Gate" are splendid.

But, the sound tracks thereof are also good.

Especially, the main theme titled "GATE OF STEINER" is so fantastic for me.

I feel it expresses sorrow, mystery and hope.

It actually seems to get good reputations from a lot of fans of "Steins Gate."

Further, most of other tracks would have been made by arranging it.

That's why I don't wonder that they are also wonderful.

If you are interested in the original sound track of "Steins Gate" even a little, I strongly recommend you to try listening to them!

Which do you like "Sky-Clad Observer" or "Hacking to the Gate"?

Yesterday, I introduced the opening theme song of the original game version of "Steins Gate" titled "Sky-Clad Observer."

Though, "Hacking to the Gate" which is that of the anime version is as splendid as it.

In the first place, I knew "Hacking to the Gate" earlier than "Sky-Clad Observer" because I firstly try the anime version.

I was attracted when I listened to it for the first time.

The composer of both the songs is Chiyomaru Shikura.

He is also the designer of "Steins Gate."

His songs have so personal melody lines.

Maybe, you would have realized that the composer of both the songs is the same even if I had not told you so.

Some might say "His songs are always similar to each other!" negatively.

But, I think composers who can express their own characteristics in their songs are so valuable.

Both "Sky-Clad Observer" and "Hacking to the Gate" are fantastic.

Although, I prefer the former to the latter if I dare to say.

Which songs do you prefer?

Theme Song of Steins Gate, "Sky-Clad Observer"

I think that music is one of the most important elements of TV or computer games and animations.

That's because it can strongly affect our feelings.

So, one of the reasons why "Steins Gate" can move us must be that the music used in it is so fantastic.

My most favorite song is "Sky-Clad Observer."

It is an opening theme song for the original game version, and was also used in the anime version.

The song is so popular because it is so cool and was used in the anime version so effectively.

It was used in a certain climax scene of the anime.

I am sure that everyone's sprits were touched by that.

I can't stop being excited because I remember the moving scene when I listen to the song.

I really want you to listen to it!

Review of "Steins Gate" part 3

The important elements which makes "Steins Gate" interesting are a lot of enigmas scattered in various parts of the story.

We alway have questions during proceeding with the scenario.

You will feel a sort of ecstasy when the enigmas are solved step by step.

For this reason, we are absorbed in the scenario.

I cannot reveal a core of the scenario absolutely so as not to steal your pleasures.

So, I strongly want you to play this game!

Nonetheless, game version of "Steins Gate" has been released in only Japanese and Korean unfortunately.

However, you can watch anime version thereof translated in English even if you cannot understand both of them.

Review of "Steins Gate" part 2

Main theme of "Steins Gate" is time travel.

Science fictions whose theme is time travel would not be rare.

But, a remarkable point of "Steins Gate" is reality of story setting and theory of time travel.

In fact, it was not easy for me to understand them completely.

However, "Steins Gate" can attract not only kids who like playing TV games but also adults because of that, I guess.

The hero named "Rintaro Okabe" is a college student, and a leader of "Future Gadget Laboratory" located in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan.

In spite that "Future Gadget Laboratory" was called "laboratory", he and other members just spent time making tools and gadgets like scraps actually.

However, one day, they happened to know that one of their gadgets had a function like a time machine.

Rintaro Okabe was so excited by realizing he finally made a great achievement no one had never done.

But he could not notice that it was not what could be called a great achievement at all at that time.

Review of "Steins Gate"

I am excited because I had finally finished "Steins Gate for iOS" yesterday!

It took about 20 hours to arrive at the ending of "Chris route."

I think the time I played it passed so quickly because I was deeply absorbed in it.

"Steins Gate" was so fantastic, really!

I don't know how many times tears came out from my eyes during playing it!

It could be that I was moved by games like this for the first time other than "CLANNAD."

Though, "Chris route" I had cleared does not seem to be so-called "true ending."

That's why I have to spend more time to know secrets behind "Steins Gate."

"Steins Gate" is the type of game where we proceed with a story during reading texts like novles.

So to speak, it is a novel with graphics and music.

I can also say the way of proceeding with a story is similar to so-called that of "Hentai Game", but it is not this type of game completely.

The story of "Steins Gate" should be categorized as a science fiction and so serious.

You will not be able to reach concealed truth behind the story before you clear "true ending."

There are a lot of mysteries in the story.

Introduction of "Steins Gate"

Do you know "Steins Gate"?

It's one of popular Japanese animations.

I am now very very absorbed in the original of "Steins Gate."

The original is TV game software for PlayStasion, Xbox and so on.

I have been interested in it since I knew the presence thereof.

However, I hadn't tried it because there were a lot of other works which seemed to be interesting to me.

Now, I regret not to play the game much earlier.

I realized that iOS version of the game has already released, so I finally tried it.

If you are interested in, I want to recommend you the iOS version because you can play it whenever you want.

Review of "Zaregoto" Series part 4

In the first volume, "E-Chan" was just an attendant for "Tomo Kunagisa", who was a genius, in the first place.

However, readers gradually knew that he was not just an attendant but had a special ability by proceeding to read this series.

What was his ability?

It was "Zaregoto."

At least, he called it so.

"Zaregoto" means "nonsense" in English.

Probably, you cannot understand what I am getting at, can you?

In short, he could overcome any severe situations and obstacles by making use of his words freely.

No one knows whether his talk is true or not.

No one knows his genuine intentions.

Everyone must be involved in his pace by his words whenever they talk with him.

That's why he is called "Zaregoto Tsukai" meaning "Master of Nonsense."

Review of "Zaregoto" Series part 3

Today, I write about the contents of stories of this series a litte.

"Zaregoto" series is basically the story where the hero "E-Chan" and his female friend "Tomo Kunagisa" were involved in various mysterious incidents and tried to solve them with their abilities.

In the first volume titled "Kubikiri Cycle", they were invited to a strange island.

How strange was it?

It was a strange-shaped island?

No.

It was the island where a female proprietor thereof who liked to invite geniuses having special and unbelievable abilities in particular fields to her island very much lived.

That was why "Tomo Kunagisa" who was one of geniuses people were afraid from was invited there.

How about "him"?

"E-Chan" just went there as someone like an atttendant.

Then, wasn't he a genious? Didn't he have any special abilities?

Absolutely not.

Review of "Zaregoto" Series part 2

The background of the hero named "E-Chan" was not really revealed clearly.

What I could understand was only that he graduated from a certain school-like organization where geniuses were gathered from around the world and engaged in researching several kinds of fields they were specialized in.

From the fact, I can imagine that he must have had a special ability enough to enter the organization.

However, I do not know in detail what his special ability was and even what he was doing there.

There are still some mysteries I want to know.

For instance, why were "Kunagisa" and he partners? Why did she say "I love you" to him always? Why did he interpret it as just something like a joke?

Really, really their relationship was mysterious for me.

I am a little bit concerned that you would not be able to understand what stories "Zaregoto" series had or even what I mean because I am writing such things.

Should I stop writing about only such ambiguous things and explain the contents of the stories more clearly?

Review of "Zaregoto" Series

Although I said the hero "E-Chan" is so mysterious, a story whose hero is mysterious like this would be rare, I think.

Such hero and his female partner "Kunagisa" are key characters in this novel series.

Their relationship is also interesting, or somewhat strange.

The relationship is like friends or lovers, but such description is not correct.

It seemed that they relied on each other as if they could try to compensate for their flaws as a human with each presence.

What were their flaws?

Kunagisa's was, so to speak, a disease which cause lack of a part of emotion.

The disease was called "savant syndrome."

Do you know it?

"Savant syndrome" is a kind of mental disabilities, and patients of the disease have special abilities in only particular fields while they have some important flaws as a human.

In her case, she lacked emotion of "sorrow", but she was a genius in the fields of information technology and mechanical engineering.

Recommendation of "Zaregoto" Series

Today's topic is "Zaregoto" series I mentioned before.

It's also the novel series written by "Nishioishin."

I heard that he became famous because of the series, so it must be his representative work.

Though, I knew him for the first time when I read "Bakemonogatari" which is the first episode of "Monogatari" series.

I think that "Monogatari" series is more famous than "Zaregoto" series for those who are not fans of mysteries because the former was animated several years ago in Japan.

Of course, I am one of the people who love "Monogatari" novel series and the anime version thereof.

However, "Zaregoto" series is the best among Nishioishin's novels for me at least.

As I said before, one of the largest characteristics of his novels would be that conversations between characters in stories are so interesting, I mean, the conversations are sometimes very funny, but sometimes serious.

"Zaregoto" series also has the characteristic.

But, the reason why I was deeply attracted by "Zaregoto" series was that the hero, who was called "E-Chan" by people around him, was so mysterious.

Nobody knows even his real name as well as his background and his real feelings.

Introduction of "Ningen" Series

Today, I would like to introduce another novel series written by "Nishioishin" to you.

It is the series called "Ningen" series.

As you may know, "ningen" is a Japanese word meaning "human" in English.

The reason why it is called so is that the titles of novels in this series always have the word "ningen" in them.

"Ningen" series is so-called spin-off stories of "Zaregoto" series which is Nisioishin's famous and representative work.

To tell the truth, I like "Zaregoto" series the most among his novels. I will also write about it near future.

Anyway, this article should be about "Ningen" series, so let's go back to the today's main subject.

This series is about the story related to "Zerozaki Family" which "Hitoshiki Zerozaki" belongs to.

Who is "Hitoshiki Zerozaki"?

He is someone like a rival for the hero in "Zaregoto" series named "E-Chan."

If you ask me what kind of person he is, I can just answer "He is a killer."

Actually, his family is a kind of group of killers.

However, they do not have blood relations with each other although they are called "family."

In spite of that, their connection is very strong.

For example, they do not definitely forgive someone for harming them, and they will absolutely avenge their family.

So, their stories are unexpectedly heart-warming though they are killers.

Are you interested in "Ningen" series?

Expectation to "Hitsuuden"

"Himeiden" which I introduced in the previous article is the first volume of "Densetsu" series written by "Nishioishin."

However, this series was not called "Densetsu" series yet when "Himeiden" was released, because even the author did not have a plan to release following episodes in the first place.

But, on February 27, 2013, the second volume of the series was published finally in Japan.

The title is "Hitsuuden"!

The title is the Japanese "Kanji" meaning "very sorrow and painful" in English.

Although I can only imagine the story because I have not read it yet, it is easy to anticipate from the meaning of the title that it would be the story where the characters' hearts will hurt deeply as "Himeiden."

Nonetheless, every readers of "Himeiden", let alone me, should have thought that the story was completely finished in the first volume.

That's why I am interested in how the author made the story become "Series."

I will try the new volume after finishing reading books I am reading now!

Review of "Himeiden" part 2

I explained the reason why "Ku Sorakara" could become "hero" who save the earth in yesterday's article.

He could do because he lacked emotions which humans should have had.

Then, could you understand why the lack of emotions could make him become hero?

That was because he wasn't moved no matter what, even if his family was killed.

Furthermore, there were other abnormal characters other than him, no, there were  not normal characters in this novel.

That's why the heroin (I might not be able to say she was a heroin) named "Kenka Kendo" was also abnormal, of course.

I want you to confirm on your own why I say such a thing by reading the novel!

Review of "Himeiden"

"Himeiden" is one of my favorite novels written by "Nishioishin."

The series in which it is included is called in "Densetsu" series because the word "den" in "Himeiden" means the Japanese word "densetsu."

Just in case, "Densetsu" means "legend" in English.

"Himeiden" is the first episode of this series.

It's the story about a new type of hero.

I mean that the hero in the episode is not normal one we can imagine by the word "hero."

Normally, "hero" is the man who is so strong or has a special power and fight with a signifiant enemy or someone to save the peace of world in our imagination, isn't he?

However, the hero of this novel, "Ku Sorakara", is just a boy who doesn't have any mysterious powers and strongly build muscles.

In spite of that, he was appointed as a "hero" who had to save the earth for some reason.

Why was he appointed?

How special was he?

That was because he lacked human-like "emotions."

Saving the earth from a certain "enemy" required his specialty.

"Koyomimonogatari" Was Interesting After All.

I have finished reading "Koyomimonogatari" just now!

It was very very interesting to me after all, although I said that it would not perhaps live up your expectations in the previous article.

The author, "Nishioishin" was wonderful as I expected.

No, what I said about it was not wrong entirely.

Certainly, "Koyomimonogatari" should have been given a roll as a side story of the previous episodes.

However, it was not just a side story finally, but an essential episode for the entire story of "Monogatari" series.

In short, there were a lot of important things which happened between the previous episodes.

In the "Afterword" of this volume, the author said that "This novel was the one which was written suddenly by 100 percent.", but I think that he should have had a plan to publish it in the first place.

Though, the person who knows if it is just my imagination is him.

As usual, I can't mention about the content thereof in detail not to steal pleasures from those who have not read it yet.

But, what I'm able to say is only that the story of the hero "Koyomi Araragi" might be controlled by someone (perhaps, not "someone" but "something") deliberately. "Someone" must not be "Nishioishin", of course.

I highly want to read following episodes soon because the story in this volume was finished at the point I was surprised at!

Anyway, the latest volume of "Monogatari" series written by "Nishioishin" titled "Koyomimonogatari" is surely recommendable, so I hope you will try it and enjoy!

Review of "Katanagatari" part 2

As I explained, the hero "Shichika Yasuri" is a human but also a sword, in other words, he had grown as not a human but a weapon used by someone.

That's why he doesn't have feelings which humans should have.

It means that he can kill everyone without hesitation when he receive instructions to kill them from his "proprietor" even if they are his relatives.

However, it doesn't mean he is the person like a devil at all.

I would rather be able to say that he is kind in a sense.

He only lost a human-like heart, no, he had not had it in the first place.

So, the heroin "Togame" came to his house which was located in a isolated island in order to invite him to her journey to gather twelve special swords.

Of course, she wanted not her partner, but her "weapon."

There would have been two reasons why she did so.
